On a trip, one of us (and we each point at the other) came across an article on a gentle animal, easy to raise, lovely to look at, with the added benefit of providing fiber for all
sorts of projects. The idea of investment and future profit did not occur to us until we began to do our homework. We discovered that in addition to enhancing our life, Alpacas could help us earn an income. After
spending time working on a large breeder’s farm we saw that although we were from an urban setting we could do this. Armed with all the positives, we decided to clear land, build the necessary buildings and
fencing, and purchase our first animals.
Since then, it has been a labor of love.
We have met many wonderful people. We have become involved with showing our animals, breeding, birthing, and all the rest that comes with having a living fur ball in your backyard.
